Assessment to drive instruction in speaking and listening.

Teachers are always providing feedback to students in order to guide students to the next level of proficiency when learning.  This is NOT a new concept.  My own personal challenge is to find ways to keep students informed about their progress while keeping them motivated about learning the language.  Reading, writing and math seems to lend itself better to a linear progression; however when it comes to listening and speaking skills the path becomes a little more blurred for me.  I really began ... continue reading...

Compréhension en lecture: Les consignes

Today's post is about French Immersion students reading and understanding directions... Now please don't get me wrong... I am definitely NOT all about handing out worksheets. Christmas and winter activities for French Immersion

The Internet can be a vast resource but there are so many worthwhile ideas out there. About Me

Hi and welcome to my site. Since I began my teaching journey way back in 1994, I have taught grades 1 through 9 in both French and English. After having taught elementary for the past 8 years I have now moved back into middle school to teach Science and Math and I'm loving it.

I am the mother of 4 amazing children ranging from the ages of 21 to 13 and have a wonderful husband who was and still is my high school ♥♥♥sweetheart ♥♥♥
